Philosophy
Theories on teaching, learning and instructional design are constantly evolving, so as educators we must adjust our pedagogy accordingly. With change, comes challenges and we must be willing to experience a little bit of discomfort to modify our strategies and roles as facilitators of learning. I believe in doing this, we model change for our students. It is important that as educators we create an atmosphere where change, challenges and failures are common place and valuable to the learning process.

Informed Decision Making
As an educator we make decisions daily in and out of the classroom. To be able to create engaging lessons for my students it requires me to research and find new ways to bring meaningful learning experiences into the classroom. In order for me to make informed decisions it requires me to have a growth mindset and be willing to learn new things. It requires for me to truly self reflect and be open to change. I am always willing and ready to learn and explore new concepts. The best way for me to continually grow is by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning.

Communication
Being an effective communicator is a necessity for not only my students but parents, administrators and campus staff. I believe that building relationships and keeping the line of communication open makes for a more collaborative trusting partnership with all stakeholders.
Design & Technology
I love to use technology rich lessons to reinforce concepts, however it is not by any means used to solely facilitate student learning. My classroom setting uses a blended learning environment to give each student a more personalized learning experience. In a successful learning environment, students are engaged and are able to demonstrate their learning to show mastery.
